The Mountain Creek Estates, is a mountain cabin/home sleeping six residents plus staff. Located in the North Georgia Mountains, Hiawassee is well known for its hiking, shopping, antiquing and horseback riding. Our home, located on Ramey Mountain, is within a two-minute ride of Lake Chatague. In addition, special events, such as county fairs and concerts performed by nationally recognized musicians, are held throughout the year in Hiawassee and the surrounding area.
Mountain Creek Estates offers scenic views of the mountains and the lake. Our home and as well as a spa/hot tub (state of the art Sundance Hot Tub) with spa jets and aroma-therapy.
Additional attractions in and around the area include Brasstown Valley Resort with beautiful mountain views, fine dining and the Equani Spa. Brasstown Bald (the highest point in Georgia with scenic views of the states of Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina and Alabama) is located less than a 20-minute drive from the house.
Brasstown Bald also offers biking, nature trails and camping. The town of Helen, within a 30 minute drive, is nestled in the mountains and offers a little German town offering fine restaurants, shopping, rafting, hiking, camping and semi-annual fairs.
Located ten minutes away from Mountain Creek Estates is the John C. Campbell Folk School. John C. Campbell Folk School provides experiences in non-competitive learning and community life that are joyful and enlivening. Located in scenic Brasstown, North Carolina, John C. Campbell Folk School offers year-round week long and weekend classes for adults in craft, art, music, dance, cooking, gardening, nature studies, photography and writing.
Weekend retreats will be provided for our residents to enjoy a little time away. Retreats will be priced according to programming for each individual trip and will be in addition to the monthly fee.
