The Cottages In-House Residency Program is designed to provide evidence based psychiatric rehabilitative clinical approaches, crisis stabilization, psycho-educational and psycho-therapeutic services. We recommend a stay of three to twelve months to provide residents with the necessary tools for continuity of care towards day treatment and ultimately a “step-up” to an independent living environment, back to their family setting and/or to an independent living setting in another community.
Supportive Living options are now available. Resident referrals made from Social Service agencies, Partial Hospital Day Programs and Intensive Out-patient programs will have the opportunity to reside in gender specific shared single-family homes on Mountain Creek Road. Our “Step-Up” Independent Living Program can provide for case management and/or medication management to ensure the independent living resident is meeting their goals and objectives. Residents may also opt to join rehabilitation programming and/or social activities on a fee-for-service basis at The Cottages on Mountain Creek. The Cottages on Mountain Creek will also provide transportation on a fee-for-service basis along with 24-hour oversight. This service was designed for long-term stay.
The Bright Future Program – Bill MacPhee, Magpie Media CEO, has collaborated with education professionals to create and write the curriculum for the “Bright Future” program. Bill will direct monthly group sessions and also engage in personal one-on-one sessions with each participant to provide guidance, advice and motivation for rehabilitation in combination with the goal of providing participants with the necessary tools to regain self-confidence, self-assurance and the self-reliance to obtain individual goals, whether educational or work-related.
The ultimate goal for program participants is to learn to like who they are and not want to be anyone other than themselves. The program is also designed to wrap around the total mental and physical well-being of each individual and work in parallel with our ongoing therapies.
The Day Program provides for the same psychiatric clinical approaches, crisis stabilization with psycho-educational and psycho-therapeutic services geared toward understanding personal growth and self-awareness.
Vocational goals and supported employment assessments are provided to assist with the next level of care. Rehabilitative Day Out-Patient Treatment is offered three to five days a week between the hours of 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM or from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM with a recommended length of stay from six weeks though twelve weeks.
Respite Care is available at The Cottages on Mountain Creek. During Respite Stays residents will be provided with the same programming as our Cottage Residents. Respite is available from one day to up to one month.

Purpose
Policy Statement
Our residence is non-discriminatory. Residency will not be denied to any person because of race, religion, handicap or national origin. The prospective resident or resident:
If a prospective resident or a current resident has difficulty with one or more of the above criteria, the assistance/service plan to meet his/her needs will be reviewed with resident, staff, family and/or home health agency involvement. If the needs cannot be met with the services available, then the prospective resident would not qualify for residency or the current resident for continued residency.
When a resident no longer qualifies for any of the levels of service available, the Manager, along with the Resident Assistants, will discuss with the resident and/or family the need to change living arrangements. Although consultation with family members, the physician, and other health- and social-care providers will be utilized in assessing the residents ability to meet the above criteria, final determination rests with the Manager.
Probationary residency can be utilized when there is some expectation of reversing the identified concerns.
